SALVATION
Why Salvation?
When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.
- (Romans 5:12; Genesis 2:16-17; Genesis 3:6-19)
The Devil Your Enemy
The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10a) For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
- (Ephesians 6:12; Luke 13:11-16; 2 Corinthians 4:3-4; 1 Peter 5:8; Isaiah 14:9-17; Revelation 12:9; 20:10)
Jesus’ Purpose
Jesus came so that we may have life and have it in abundance. (John 101:10b) The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the devil’s works.
- (1 John 3:8b; Luke 4:18-19; Romans 3:22-30; Acts 10:38; Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 10:14)
Time is Short
But know this: Hard times will come in the last days. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, demeaning, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.
- (1 Timothy 3:1-4; Matthew 24:3-28)
Consider Your Family
This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.
- (Deuteronomy 30:19; Hosea 4:6)
Jesus is the Only Way
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Jesus. (John 14:6) There is salvation in no one else!God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
- (Acts 4:12; John 1:1-3; 3:15-17; Philippians 2:9-11; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-2)
You’re Already Forgiven
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
- (2 Corinthians 5:19-21; Romans 5:6-11)
How to Receive Salvation
Admit you are a sinner. (Romans 3:10)
Repent from your sin. (Acts 17:30)
Believe Jesus Christ died for you, was buried and rose from the dead. (Romans 10:8-10)
Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Savior (Romans 10:13)
“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
- (Romans 10:13; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Prayer for Salvation
Say aloud from your heart: Dear God, I am a sinner who needs your forgiveness. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins. I believe You sent Jesus Christ of Nazareth to shed His precious blood and die on the cross for my sin. I believe He rose from the dead for me. I am willing to turn from my sin and I accept Jesus Christ this day as my Lord and Savior. I declare this day that God is my Father and I am His child. Thank you for saving me! In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.
